In a cocktail shaker with ice, add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white (optional).
Shake until well combined and chilled.
Strain into an ice filled rocks glass.
Using a bar spoon places close to the edge of the glass, slowly pour red wine on the back of the spoon into the cocktail. The wine should float on top of bourbon mixture.
Notes
If you prefer the cocktail to be slightly sweeter than tart use 1 oz of simple syrup.
