Where Can Americans Travel Internationally in 2021?

This post has been updated with the latest information andΒ will be updated often. Most recent update occurred on September 30, 2021

With the rollout of the coronavirus vaccine, many Americans are ready to get out and get back to traveling. But they don’t just want to travel to another state. They want to brush off their passports and go international. Several countries are welcoming us back into their borders, but with some restrictions. Before you book that flight, it is important to understand that each country has different travel requirements in regards to COVID-19. You should also know that travel back into the United States requires a negative COVID-19 test at least 3 days prior to your return. Because of this, I would suggest doing research to see how easily you can get tested in the country you plan on visiting.

There are obviously still risks to travel. It is entirely up to you to determine your comfort level when it comes to flying to another country. This post is intended to give you a quick overview of where your passport can take you right now during this global pandemic. My goal was to give you a starting point. So take a look at the list and narrow down your options. Then I encourage you to do thorough research in regards to restrictions and mandates. You can consult the U.S. State Department and the Center for Disease Control & Prevention.
