Culinary Activity

I love immersing myself in the food of a culture when I travel. One of my favorite ways to do so is by signing up for a cooking class. In Barcelona, I found an interactive paella cooking class which was such a memorable experience. We started with a tour of Mercado de la Boqueria and cooked traditional Spanish dishes in the host’s home. The main focus was the paella but we also made sangria, pan con tomate, and Crema Catalana. I met some wonderful people, and enjoyed a delicious meal. Plus, I walked away with some new culinary knowledge. I always suggest seeking out activities like this if you’re a foodie that likes to get in the kitchen.

Zaragoza makes for an awesome pitstop between Barcelona and Madrid. It’s been on my radar ever since high school because my best friend’s family is from there. Plus, getting there is a breeze since it’s easily accessible by train. So, Zaragoza has got you covered with its charm and accessibility.
