5 Ways to Show Yourself Love on Valentine’s Day

Who says Valentine’s Day is reserved for couples? Not I! I am an advocate of self love and think there are few things more important that that. So why not use this holiday as an excuse to treat yourself? It can even be quite liberating. Read on for 5 ways you can show yourself some love on Valentine’s Day.

1. SATISFY YOUR CRAVING FOR GOOD FOOD

I don’t know about you, but the way to my heart is through my stomach. Eating delicious food is bound to put you in good spirits so why not celebrate yourself with a lovely meal? If you are comfortable, make a reservation at your fave a restaurant or one you have been wanting to try. Alternatively, you can order takeout and indulge in your jammies in front of the tv. If you want to make it more of an activity, cook for yourself! I love making myself delicious meals, and it can sometimes be even more rewarding than eating out. Pair your meal with a bottle of wine for an extra special affair.

2. MELT STRESS AWAY WITH A MASSAGE

With everything that has been going on, I am sure we are all holding some stress and tension in our muscles. Getting a massage is a great way to treat yourself and relax. Whether you go simple with a foot massage appointment or go all out with a specialized session at a spa, you can’t go wrong!

3. NAILS DONE, HAIR DONE, EVERYTHING DID

Sometimes the simple act of getting our nails done or getting our hair cut can make us feel like a million bucks. If you have been looking for a reason to try a new hairstyle or get a mani/pedi, this is it. This isn’t just for the ladies! Men can also enjoy the luxury of grooming services. Treating yourself has no gender barriers.

4. GO ON A STAYCATION

You don’t have to leave town to get away. Pack an overnight bag and head to an in-town hotel for a little R&R. Splurge on room service and spa treatments or keep it low key by sleeping in and lounging all day. It is the perfect way to take a mental break from your everyday life.

5. DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

Often times the best thing we can do for ourselves is to relax and do nothing. And by nothing, I mean take a break from always being on and on the go. Take a warm bubble bath, curl up with a good book, wrap yourself in a blanket and finally give yourself time to binge Bridgerton. Give yourself the gift of time this Valentine’s Day. You deserve it!
