These fun and festive sangria gelatin shots are perfect for your next Halloween bash (or any party really). They aren’t as boozy as your average gelatin shot, and the sweet taste of sangria makes it easy to take down. Gone are the days of struggling to get gelatin shots out of small plastic cups. Reusable, non-medical syringes make it as easy as getting a shot.

These shots are red wine based as opposed to a liquor like vodka or tequila. The addition of 2 fruit flavored gelatin packets (dissolved in boiling water) and peach brandy helps give it that delicious sangria flavor. From there you simply fill your syringes with the deep red concoction. You want to be careful not to fill the entire syringe as you need to leave room for the plunger. A safe bet is having them about 85-90% full. Make sure to place the caps back on the syringe tip otherwise the liquid will leak out.

The hardest part is waiting. You will need to chill the syringes in the fridge for at least 2-3 hours before serving. You can lay them flat on a sheet pan. However, I prefer standing them up in very large cups to eliminate any protentional air bubbles. Once the gelatin has set, they are ready to be consumed. Pass your guests a syringe, remove the caps and push down the plunger to release the jiggly sangria gelatin.

Warning- these will disappear fast! They were a hit when I brought them to a friend’s costume party. My only regret is that I didn’t make more!
