Atlanta’s Hottest, New Food Hall Prepares for April Soft Opening

I love to call Atlanta home for so many reasons. The food scene being one of them. Food halls have already been a thing in the city, and another is being added to the list! The highly anticipated Chattahoochee Food Works is a 31-vendor food hall that is at the center of the newly constructed mixed use-development, The Works. It is located in the heart of the Upper Westside just minutes from Midtown and Downtown Atlanta.

I got a taste, literally, of what is in store for the opening at their recent media event. The curators of the food hall, Emmy and James Beard award winning celebrity chef, Andrew Zimmern and partner Robert Montwaid, greeted us upon arrival. (Yes, I screamed a little inside when Andrew walked out. I kept my cool on the outside though!). They shared their vision and inspiration for the space. Andrew noting that “the food of Atlanta as long as I have been coming here has always been a lot more than fried chicken and fried green tomatoes”. The food hall is definitely a reflection of this sentiment. The tenants showcase the diverse culinary talents this city has to offer.

It was lovely to see a variety of cuisines available in one space. It is evident that the owners put a lot of love and passion into their food. There really is something there for everyone. You are bound to find one, if not several, dishes you will love.

The soft opening of the Chattahoochee Food Works is scheduled for April 15th. The tenants will be on a rolling schedule Monday through Sunday from 7am-10pm. It is worth mentioning that the food hall also has a large communal indoor/outdoor bar with plenty of outdoor seating (hello springtime cocktails in the sun!). Chattahoochee Food Works should be on your must visit list whether you are a resident or just stopping through our vibrant city.
